Macsteel Roofing is Southern Africa’s largest specialist supplier of metal roofing materials and cold formed sections.

Products are produced in lengths and finishes to suit customer requirements. In addition cold formed sections can be punched and painted ready for installation on site.

Location and Services

Macsteel Roofing occupies a 10Ha site situated in Wadeville, Germiston. This major plant supplies all the requirements of the trading divisions of Macsteel Service Centres SA, in addition to an extensive client base in the RSA and neighbouring states. A competent and experienced technical department assists customers with all aspects of products, from measurement of quantities through custom curving of roofing products to specialised cold formed sections and heavy duty rolled hollow sections.

Product Range

Roofing

Roofing products include TL5, Classidek, IBR, Widespan and Corrugated Iron, ranging from high volume, low costs 8,5/76 corrugated iron through colour coated to heavy duty corrugated for silos.

In addition we manufacture a number of specialist profiles including Delta-Rib, a deep troughed profile with enhanced spanning characteristics and KingKlip 700 a state of the art concealed fix system. These products are offered in a range of materials from steel to aluminium and stainless, in a variety of finishes which include Galvanised, Zincalume and pre-painted Chromadek and Colorbond.

KingKlip 700, TL5, Classidek and Delta-Rib all incorporate Aquablok, an anti-capillary groove on the side lap which eliminates capillary induced leakage.

Cold Formed

In addition to the full range of standard structural lip channels and zeds, we supply special sections for the mining, electrical and security industries.

Drawn Products

Macsteel Roofing is able to convert tube into square and rectangular hollow sections ranging in size from 25mm to 500mm with a wall thickness from 1.6mm to 10mm.
