 Macsteel Coil Processing is one of the largest Coil and Flat Sheet Processing facilities in Southern Africa.  Our extensive value added operation includes a sophisticated range of 10 processing lines providing cut to length, edge trimming, slitting and decoil-recoil finished products servicing the entire Macsteel Service Centres SA Group and an extensive client base.

Our production plant includes state of the art high speed blanking lines operating to International Quality Standards, supplying surface critical materials to the Automotive Appliance and Building Industries amongst others.

Location and Service

Macsteel Coil Processing Division is situated on a 40 000 square meter site in Wadeville Germiston.  Our ISO 9001:2000 and VDA6 quality accreditation from the motor industry assures customers of a consistently high standard of processing and delivery.

Product Range

We process a full range of Hot Rolled, Cold Rolled, Galvanised, Precoated, Flat Product and Slit material including Decoiling/Recoiling up to 2000 mm wide and to 25 ton coil mass capacity.

Plate Line

3mm to 12mm thick, 2000 mm wide with edge trim facility in lengths, up to 9000mm from 25 ton coils - Hot Rolled, Stainless Steel & Vastrap

Cut-To-Length Lines

0.5mm to 5mm thick, 2000 mm wide lengths up to 9000mm.  Slide trim upto 3.000 mm, Hot Rolled, Galvanised, Cold Rolled, Pickled and Oiled Materials

Blanking Lines

Range 0.4mm to 2.00mm in widths from 300mm to 2000mm in 3 strand format in lengths from 300mm to 600mm

Steel Qualities

Cold Rolled, Hot Rolled, Galvanised, Painted, Improved Surface Finish and Stainless Steel

Gangslitters

Range 0.5mm to 3.00mm thick, widths 20mm to 500mm in 17 ton coils
